The host of the CCUS ZEN project is the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy of JYU under its strategic research areas of Sustainable Societies. Energy social science is one of the strongest areas of research and education in the department. The Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy is one of Finland's leading units in social sciences. The Principal Investigator from JYU is Dr Farid Karimi, a senior lecturer in social sciences. JYU participates in WP2, WP3 and WP5. The main role of JYU is to lead sub-task 2.1, which is mapping social and political issues concerning CCUS.
